6.8 magnitude earthquake in New Zealand



                 An earthquake of magnitude 6.8 occurred Friday in New Zealand, north of the South Island, near the capital Wellington, an area that has experienced a net increase of earthquakes in recent weeks, five kilometers east of the town of Seddon in Cook Strait, at a depth of 10.6 kilometers, the U.S. Geological Survey said the institute, which triggered a tsunami warning.
                 The quake was felt in Christchurch in the South Island to Auckland in the North Island.                 Earthquake, followed by several aftershocks, was very strong in Wellington, where employees rushed to hide under the table in the office to protect.Several earthquakes have not caused significant damage took place in July in this area about 200 kilometers north of Christchurch, the second largest city in New Zealand, whose center was destroyed in February 2011 of earthquake caused 185 deaths.
